The New Me is a brilliant dark comedy about the mundane reality of office life, it’s about going to work to pay your rent so you can continue to go to work. This might sound quite depressing and the main character is depressed but if you love clever dark comedies and satires on capitalism then you will love this.
I found it to be an incredibly insightful read into the generation that graduated into a recession (hello!) and the millennial pressure to love your job. I think it's also important to remember it is okay if a book makes you uncomfortable, not all books are have happy endings and these are often the truest reflections on real life. This is one that will make you think...!
